LICENSING

WE ARE NOT A LICENSED COMPANY. Nope, we aren’t.  In fact, there is NO COMPANY THAT IS LICENSED TO CLEAN AIR DUCTS. (Don’t let someone tell you they are!)  The air duct cleaning industry is a non-regulated industry.  There is no government, not federal, not any state, nor any local government, that regulates the air duct cleaning industry.  The same applies to dryer vent cleaning. 

On the other hand, Maryland State does require licensing for fireplace repairs and improvements, through the MHIC Licensing program.  However, licensing is not required for cleaning and inspecting of fireplaces, and that is all we do.  We do not do major repairs to fireplaces or chimney flues; we do not re-line chimney flues; we do not do major brickwork to your fireplace.  As I said before, we are not licensed to do necessary repairs and/or improvements.

INSURANCE

We are insured through the Erie Insurance Group.  Our policy number is Q******397, and our coverage is for $500,000. per occurance.  We also are covered with a $2 million policy for excess liability, and also carry Workman’s Compensation.

BONDING

WE ARE NOT BONDED.  Bonding is an option for when you have several employees who may be put in a position of responsibility and liability, (i.e., someone who will be in your home and doing work there while you are away.)  However, it is not required for directors or company officers, and as we are both officers of the company, well….
